Westjet Airlines has dropped their base fare economy flights to Reykjavik right during peak summer months! Flights from Vancouver or Kelowna to Reykjavik, Iceland have been reduced from their typical prices averaging around $800-900 to only $599 for multiple dates in summer 2025. This is a great way to fly to Europe for cheap during summer; if you want to visit some more countries in Europe on the same trip, you can book for a longer period and use low cost European carriers to do some cheap roundtrips.
As you can see from the prices below, flights from Vancouver or Kelowna to Reykjavik are nearly 30% off for the summer season.
Availability
These flight deals from Kelowna or Vancouver to Reykjavik are available throughout June, July and August. There are several more dates for $599 round trip as well if you need additional dates or the $620 deals run out.
Please note that these are not direct flights and have short stopovers in Calgary.
Baggage
Westjet Airlines has limited baggage allowance for domestic flights, but for international flights from North America to Europe you still get more with the base fare. 1. Go onto Google Flights.
2. Search for flights from Kelowna or Vancouver to Reykjavik (YVR to KEF or YLW to KEF).
3. Click on the departure date box on the right-hand side to open up the calendar view:
4. In the calendar view, search for departure dates starting in June, July or August 2025 and you will see which return dates have the lowest prices highlighted in green.
5. After finding suitable travel dates, you can go directly onto the Budget Air website and:
