Discount carrier Play Airlines is having a massive sale on their economy flights to Europe! You can now book cheap flights from Toronto to Amsterdam, Netherlands or Toronto to Copenhagen, Denmark for as little at $340 to $390 roundtrip. The flight itself is from Hamilton airport (YHM to AMS or YHM to CPH), so a little further west than YYZ. The flight includes one stopover in Iceland each way, and you can opt to take a longer layover for some of the dates. There are multiple dates available in Fall 2024, Winter 2025, and Spring 2025. If you’ve been eyeing to go to the Netherlands or Denmark, this might be perfect for you.
As you can see from the prices below, some of these cheap flights to Amsterdam are 40-65% at a discount. Similarly, the cheap flights to Copenhagen are nearly 45-65% at a discount! Note: As they are a discount carrier, Play Airlines’ cheap flight deals only includes a personal item; I’ve listed additional baggage prices below if you’re interested.
Availability
These flight deals are available as early as October, with more dates in November and a few in early December 2024. After the Christmas break, there are also dates in January, February, and even March 2025.
Baggage
As mentioned earlier, Play Airlines’ cheap flight deals only includes a personal item. I’ve done the research for you and gone through their ticket booking system to find out their baggage rates. You can also choose to upgrade your flight from Basic to one of their more flexible flights which will include carry-on baggage and seating selection, but I find that this deal is not worth it at those costs. If I need additional space, I usually prefer purchasing a carry-on or checked baggage, either roundtrip or on one flight. In this case, a roundtrip carry-on would cost $150 extra. In most cases if I’m gone for a week, I’ll get my trusted travel backpack with lots of compartments and manage with just a personal item.
