Westjet Airlines has dropped their base fare economy flights to Reykjavik right during peak summer months! Flights from Calgary to Reykjavik, Iceland have been reduced from their higher prices ranging between $800-900 to only $460-480 for multiple dates in summer 2025. Iceland can get quite chilly in other months, but June and July have the best weather and give you the opportunity to witness the magical “midnight sun” – where the sun sets at midnight! I’ve been to Iceland during summer and let me tell you – seeing at midnight felt otherworldly and I got so much more out of my time there.
As you can see from the prices below, flights from Calgary to Reykjavik are nearly 60% off for the summer season. Better yet, the flights are nonstop.
Availability
These flight deals from Calgary to Reykjavik are available for multiple dates throughout June and July. There are several more dates available for $524 roundtrip as well if these dates don’t work for you or if the $460 deals run out. (Note that some dates show $484 but when you click into those, the deals available show as low as $460).
Baggage
Westjet Airlines has limited baggage allowance for domestic flights, but for international flights from North America to Europe you still get more even with the “ultrabasic” fare. Flights from Calgary to Reykjavik include a personal item and a carry-on luggage. I still recommend that you review the baggage details of the airline before you book your flights.

Note that if you go with Budget Air instead of Westjet Airlines, you should ensure that you will not require any changes to your flight itinerary as this can be difficult to do sometimes through a third party.
How to Book this Travel Deal
1. Go onto Google Flights.
2. Search for flights from Calgary to Reykjavik (YYC to KEF).
3. Click on the departure date box on the right-hand side to open up the calendar view:
4. In the calendar view, search for departure dates starting in June or July 2025 and you will see which return dates have the lowest prices highlighted in green.
5. After finding suitable travel dates, you can go directly onto the Budget Air website and:
- Enter in your departure city and the destination city (YYC)
- Enter in the desired departure and return date you selected in the calendar search above
- Go through the flight booking process and review the layover and baggage details
