Air France and KLM have dropped some cheap flights from Calgary to Malta (Valletta) in partnership with Westjet Airlines and KM Malta Airlines. These tickets are going for $669-690 during several dates in Winter and Spring 2025. If you’re looking for a cheap getaway to Europe to enjoy some sun during colder months, the southern island of Malta might be the perfect spot.
These cheap flights to Malta are over 50% off from regular price during this time, as flights to Malta are usually more expensive. These low flight prices are most likely due to the flight route having 2 layovers on either the departure flight or return flight, or both. The layovers are either in Vancouver, Paris, or Amsterdam. I usually don’t like 2 layovers, but it might be worth it for some warm European beach weather in winter.

These flight deals from Calgary to Malta are available throughout January, February, and March 2025.
Baggage
The great part about flights with Air France/KLM is that it includes a carry-on luggage even with their economy flights. Note however that checked baggage would be an additional charge. I still recommend that you review the baggage details before you book your flights.

- Search for flights from Calgary to Malta (YYC to MLA)
- Review departure dates starting January, February, or March 2025 and you will see which return dates have the lower prices.
- Example date: January 19-25
- After finding suitable dates above, go onto the Air France website
- Select “Book a Flight” and enter in your desired dates with a departure from YYC to MLA
- Go through the flight booking process and review the connection events and times.
